Privacy Policy
Last updated September 4, 2026
Extensionow is operated by Bitspark Technology Inc. This policy explains what happens to information when you visit Extensionow, follow a recommendation, or send us feedback.
The short version
You can read every guide and follow every recommendation without creating an account. We use limited cookieless measurement to understand basic traffic. If you choose Allow analytics, Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity can use analytics storage for richer usage reports and session replay. We do not use advertising storage, Google Signals, advertising personalisation, or remarketing.
Measurement before you allow analytics
The Google tag and Microsoft Clarity load with analytics storage and advertising storage set to denied. In this state, they may receive limited measurement signals supported by their consent modes, but they do not use cookies or another persistent browser identifier to connect your visits.
These cookieless signals can include information needed to deliver and understand a page visit, such as the page, time, consent state, browser or device category, and coarse technical or location signals derived by the provider. We do not describe this data as completely anonymous and do not promise that a provider could never distinguish one request from another.
Microsoft Clarity assigns a new identifier for each page view in no-consent mode. Any limited recording is not linked into a continuous multi-page session in that state.
Measurement after you allow analytics
If you choose Allow analytics:
- Google Analytics 4 may use first-party analytics cookies such as
_gato distinguish users and sessions and provide fuller traffic and interaction reports. Learn more in Google's Analytics privacy information. - Microsoft Clarity may use analytics cookies to connect activity across pages and provide heatmaps and session replay. Clarity masks input fields by default, and Extensionow explicitly marks feedback and content-request inputs for masking. Learn more in the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
For both services, advertising storage remains denied. Google ad_user_data and
ad_personalization also remain denied, and our Google tag disables Google Signals and
advertising-personalisation signals.
Choosing Decline does not change the guides or links available to you.
Changing your choice
Use Privacy choices in the footer to reopen the notice. A new decision immediately updates the consent state sent to Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity.
If you decline or withdraw analytics consent, Extensionow also removes accessible Google Analytics and Clarity cookies from its own domain. Clarity is sent a denied Consent Mode signal so it can remove its cookies, end the previous continuous session, and return to limited no-consent mode.
Other information created when you use the site
Basic server records. Like most websites, our hosting provider may process information such as your IP address, browser, requested URL, and time of access to deliver the site, keep it secure, and diagnose errors.
Recommendation links. A visit to the Chrome Web Store or a product website first passes through an Extensionow redirect. We record the guide, recommended product, destination type, time, and referring page so we can measure whether a guide helped someone take the next step. This event does not include an Extensionow account or feedback identifier.
Feedback and content requests. If you vote on a guide, report a problem, or suggest a product or question, we store the page or request, your selection, and any text or URL you submit. A random first-party browser identifier prevents one browser from being counted repeatedly for the same page. Feedback text, form contents, and contact details are not sent to Google Analytics or Microsoft Clarity through our analytics events. Please do not include personal or confidential information in a note.
Cookies and browser storage
eow_consentis stored in your browser to remember your analytics choice.eow_feedback_visitoris set after you send page feedback, andeow_request_visitoris set after you submit a content request. Both are random identifiers, are limited to Extensionow, and expire after one year. They are not analytics cookies and are not sent to Google Analytics or Clarity.- Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity may set analytics cookies only after you choose Allow analytics.
Services that receive data
We name services that directly handle visitor data; we do not list every software package used to build the site or publish project IDs.
| Service | Why it receives data |
|---|---|
| Supabase | Hosts the database used for feedback and content requests |
| Google Analytics 4 | Provides limited cookieless measurement and, after consent, fuller analytics |
| Microsoft Clarity | Provides limited no-consent measurement and, after consent, heatmaps and session replay |
| Hosting and security providers | Deliver the site, protect it, and maintain technical logs |
These providers process information under their own terms and privacy commitments. Data may be processed in countries other than your own. Supabase explains how it handles customer data, and Google and Microsoft provide more information through the links above.
How long information is kept
We keep feedback and content requests only while they remain useful for reviewing and maintaining the related content. The two first-party submission cookies expire after one year. Hosting logs and analytics data follow the retention settings and policies of the relevant provider. Clarity normally keeps recordings for 30 days, with a limited selection retained for longer under Microsoft's retention policy.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold, ask for a correction or deletion, object to or restrict certain processing, withdraw consent, or complain to a data protection authority. California residents may also ask about the categories of personal information collected and disclosed. Bitspark Technology Inc. does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising.
Because Extensionow does not have visitor accounts, we may need enough information to connect a request to a feedback submission. We may not be able to identify data that was intentionally stored without your name or email address.
