Browser extension researcher and editor
Joseph Hu is the founder of Extension Ranker and the editor behind Extensionow. He researches browser extensions and writes recommendations that help people solve online problems and choose a suitable tool without relying on store ratings alone.
Background
Joseph's work combines browser products, product management, and Chrome Web Store research.
- Previously worked as a product manager responsible for Chrome extension products.
- Founded Extension Ranker to help extension teams understand search visibility and find practical growth opportunities in the Chrome Web Store.
- Studies public Chrome Web Store data and turns the findings into practical guidance, including a ranking study of 120,000 records across roughly 900 keywords.
Editorial approach
Every recommendation starts with a browser problem a reader wants to solve. Joseph reviews current extension information, relevant review patterns, and practical trade-offs before explaining which option best fits the situation.
